Example shop: campaign “coffee-search”
- Observation
- “coffee-search” cost €678.10 this week. The ad account attributes €2,885.82 in sales to it: €4.26 per ad euro.
- Source and period
- Orders and product costs: example shop, paid orders 16–22 October, read on 23 October. Ad costs and attributed sales: test ad account, same week, made-up numbers, no real money.
- Assessment
- After product costs, 52.4% of sales was left (€2,800 of €5,340). At this margin, a campaign needs about €1.91 in attributed sales per ad euro to leave something after product costs and ads. Included: product costs and ad costs. Not included: shipping, payment fees, returns and other running costs. How much of these sales the ads actually added is unclear: the ad account counts by its own rules.
- Proposal
- Raise the daily budget of “coffee-search” from €100 to €120 (+20%) until 31 October, when it goes back to €100 by itself. In a real account: at most €200 more in October.
- Decision
- In the pilot, I check every proposal before you see it; you approve it with a one-time code or turn it down. Here, check and approval ran with test accounts; then the limit check ran again, and the change was made in the test ad account and matched against its change history.
Making the change in a real Google Ads account is still to build. Test numbers don't show whether a step works; in the pilot we judge that by a measurement plan agreed first.
